Blog Entry 1: Diagnostic on "Hype"

Hype by Kalle Lasn, Is about how America is flooded by tons of corporate advertisements, and how it’s in your everyday life, you can’t escape it. The author believes the amount of advertisements has been increasing so steadily and unrestrained and is unhealthy, that the consumers doesn’t realize that their lives revolve around ads, brands, and product placements.
Advertisments are everywhere nowadays and has effected all our lives. Especially people who buy the latest brand names, and flaunt them like monkeys, and you know monkeys. Monkey see monkey do, we the people have to fit in. We can't be the only ones sticking out like a sore thumb. To fit in to society, to survive, we have to adapt. survival of the fittest, in this case the one fitted with the best brands.
Kalle Lasn Thinks advertisments is overflowing our world and is causing us to become unhealthy brandname drones. But if oneself can believe in the self and not having the need to rely on society and what society thinks is needed to survive. Their are always limits oneself has before we start to really harm ourselves, so I think Lasn need not worry, if he believes in the human race.
